Observation point “The heart of Jesus” (Mirador Corazon de Jesus) - Oruro, Bolivia
February 2008
The best view to Oruro is opened from the observation point “The heart of Jesus”.
There is its own micro-climate and own residents – an old woman in eternal mourning, a girl, waiting for the bus, a mongrel dog, happy that it just has its own piece of living space.
The panorama of stone Oruro possesses a unique beauty, though lack of greenery catches the eye. Pink and grey bricks and the surrounding mountains of the same colour would hardly arouse the imagination of an impressionist artist. But a man can get used to living under any conditions.

“It can't be cloudy over Oruro” – somehow this line was made up and it, in fact, does not sound pessimistically. What pessimism is possible in the capital of the Bolivian carnival!
