Anshun (安顺 - Ānshùn), Guizhou Province
A trip to Anshun turned quite different as I had planned. Originally, I wanted to spend 2-3 nights and quietly go for a day to the Huangguoshu Falls, the next day to the Palace of the Dragon and, of course, to take a walk around the city. But it so happened that I could only spend one day in the city of Anshun. I came from Guiyang in the morning and left late in the evening. For half day I was in a hurry and worried that I will miss the train back to Guiyang. When I realized that I’ll really miss it, I felt easier. In the evening I had to buy a ticket without a seat to the passing train and wait for it for an hour and a half.Conclusion: a day trip from Guiyang to go and see what I wanted, of course, is possible. But it is better to stay for 2 nights in Anshun.
The bus station is 500 meters away from the train station, right on the main street till the first big intersection. Since buses are hidden in the courtyard of the bus station, you can hardly understand where it is. In the photo below there is that very intersection and to the left at the corner there is a building of the bus station.
