Colchani, Bolivia

Colchani is a mandatory stop-over on the road to white mirages of Uyuni saline land. In order to give peculiarity to this modest settlement, its residents strenuously started to build small houses and hotels of salt «bricks». Should anybody ask, and what may happen in case of continuous rains, won't this house dissolve in water? - I will frankly reply that I don't know. Maybe it will dissolve, maybe there is no threat to Uyuni, and «bricks» made of salt can be cut ad lib. I am surprised that Russian building brotherhood has not yet used the abilities of Uyuni for their expansion in the more perspective regions, as «there is no spare lands in Moscow and Moscow area». They should make haste!

I put several panoramic photos so that I was not reproached in concealing the truth about Colchani and its environs. In Colchani landscapes there is something anguished, sad, desperate. But is it alien to the modern defenceless Russian soul? Russian and Bolivian remote spots, how much alike you are!
